Ib review

When your younger self  visits an art gallery together with her family, the least of your worries is to get lost, right? This happens. But still; this is the least of her worries. Your world is turned upside down when the gallery comes to life, trapping you within a space where the exhibitions are malevolent and do not take kindly to intruders. All of this happen in the game of Ib ( jesus crist am i going to die).
Ib is a Japanese horror game. It wokes around a quiet little girl named "Ib" presumably nine years old, who visits an art gallery with her parents. She starts to wander around until she find out that everyone has missing. Ib ends up entering a painting into a fabricated crazed world ( the artist's world), filled with monsters such as headless mannequins, half women half paintings, evil dolls and more..much more ( hurrayyyy, monsters.. oh hell, forgot my gun)
Ib must escape this horror-filled museum before her sanity slips or the gallery traps her there forever, by solving puzzel´s, with the help of Garry  who is also trapped in the strange museum.

He accompanies Ib throughout the game, making a father/daughter our  brother/ sister ( it´s your point of view) relationship. Garry is around eighteen. Also along the way, Garry and Ib meet Mary, a girl from the artist's last painting before he died. She appears to be a normal girl, but inside is psychotic and lonely. Her motives throughout the game tore into my heart. A lot of fans despise Mary for her actions later in the game, but she did it out of jealousy and loneliness.
I never thought I would ever find an 8-bit game with a mouthful of story since Corpse Party ( i playded but i hated it ) ever again, but Japan did it again!(Why can't there be an ending where everyone gets out alive? Oh yeah, that's right, this is a horror game.......... fuck you game logic. Dam .... wait! There is a game were every one live at the end its  "Alan wake" fuck you logic - i will do its review soon in enough )
in terms of different mechanic´s that aren't in a regular rpg maker game ,both Garry and Ib's health is represented by roses, Ib's being red roses, symbolic of "love" and Garry's being blue roses symbolic for "impossible miracles" And Mary,  she has a yellow rose, symbolic for "thin jealousy," which becomes very clear later on when she spends more and more time with Ib and Garry (she disapproves of Garry's friendship with Ib and wants her for herself). The game has TEN different endings.(I´m not going to spoil them).
So plain and simple wonderful game with lovable  characters . Ib's a sweet, determined child who puts on a brave face no matter how upset she is. Garry acts realistically frightened of the gallery but will step up for Ib's sake no matter the danger to himself or his fear. And Mary is a lonely little girl who's hopeful to find a friend  and be happy ,that she's been denied for so long.wonderful  story, but  the biggest low point is that the game is it´s horror factor     (is..well...weak). I wasn't very scared by the game, more intrigued by the story.Ib is a wonderful game which can appeal to horror fans, even if there was little horror, and fans of games with a good story behind it.

So this is my veredict:

5.5/10

that´s the score
